Well done to Hayley our compliance manager for completing this mental health 1st aid course. This is a very important subject to our business and we are planning on booking more members of the team on to similar courses.
Well done to Stacey
A well-deserved set of keys for our Operations Manager Stacey!!
Stacey joined our business as a Contract Support Administrator a little under 3 years ago, she has always shown great drive and passion in order to move up within the business.
She is a highly valued member of the team, her commitment through the first lockdown where many were furloughed was nothing short of fantastic where she dealt with all clients and co-ordinated our Field Engineers to ensure all jobs were attended.
We are very proud to reward Stacey with a new car and we hope she enjoys it!
Well Done Stacey!!
Christmas has come early for our Office Manager Hayley!
Hayley has been with us since Day one and has been nothing short of amazing throughout and especially during this year where her commitment has been fantastic.
We are proud and delighted to reward Hayley for her hard work, efforts, and loyalty over the last 7 years with the keys to her new car, and hopefully, she enjoys it as much as we have enjoyed getting it to her.
Well Done Hayley, you thoroughly deserve this.
As we continue to drive forward we would like to congratulate our Director Richard for passing NEBOSH.
As we continue to raise the bar on our standards of safety Richard will now lead from the top.
Well done Richard!
Ian Rhodes – Contracts Manager
Ian joined the company in October 2020 bringing a wealth of experience and skills to the maintenance and small works estimating department. Ian has worked in the position of reactive maintenance QS since 1998 with Garside and Laycock, which then migrated into SPIE in 2012 and then TRIOS in 2020. Ian’s experience working with a company that grew to be part of a large corporate business will stand him in good stead to collaborate with the team to propose new ways and ideas.
After many months of “unusual”, it is great to see our office team smiling and back together.
Our people are the heartbeat of our business and we are very proud of each one of them for keeping level-headed through these difficult times. The dedication, commitment, and drive these people have shown to ensure we continue to move forward has been nothing short of outstanding.
Our field management is now planning to visit all engineers on-site to see how they are and to have a good old-fashioned catch-up. We are sure there will be a few socially distanced breakfasts, brews, and butties consumed over the coming weeks.
We shall continue to invest in our people ensuring they have the skills and the tools to be the best they can, but sometimes there are things that can’t be taught and these guys have it in abundance.
Well done team 1st Contracts!

These are testing times indeed and we never expected to be making the kind of decisions we have had to this week.
Although we are all trying our best to work as normal as possible and deliver great service anyone who says ‘business as usual’ isn’t being honest.
We all have a responsibility to make sure our businesses and the economy are still here after Covid 19 has been controlled. But we think we have a bigger responsibility to those at risk from this disease, the older generation, and the vulnerable.
This afternoon we will be closing the offices until Covid 19 is under control to try and do our bit to control the spread.
The Directors and the management team will be operating from home, still delivering work and covering our 24hr emergency calls with as many engineers as we can.
Look after each other.
A huge congratulations to Jay for putting the hard work in and earning his qualification and becoming a fire risk manager. He’s now looking for opportunities to develop his skills and experience to supplement his qualifications.
A great new adventure for him and 1st Contracts to be able to offer this service.
