Richard Yeomans
Director
Richard is the original founder of Yeomans Projects Ltd which was created following a successful career where he served as an Electrical Engineer in the Armed Forces. The company was developed on the back of Richard’s hard work and dedication and almost 20 years on 1st Contracts is thriving on the original foundations. Richard has a vast skillset and as well as running the overall business he also directs our larger scale project work which has been built up over the years to what it is today. Richard has very high standards where also integrity is key to ensure our clients receive the service and end result they are looking for.
Leon Ashworth
Director
Leon has been in the reactive maintenance industry from the outset where his first job was working for a contractor that supported the portfolio of one of the biggest retailers in the country. Valuable experience was gained in that environment as an engineer where Leon then worked his way into management by the time he was in his early twenties. During his career Leon has worked in large corporate FM companies as well as much smaller family-based project firms, he has developed a diverse skillset based on those experiences and the people he has worked alongside over the years. Having been friends with Richard for many years Leon joined the company in late 2013 and took the leap into self-employment. Leon drives the process side of the business, his strength being the long-term vision and development of the business for our people, clients and supply partners.
Steve Hill
Contracts Director
Steve joined our team in October 2017 as Regional Operations Manager to service our southern supply chain and clients. He spent 10 years in a client side role working for Tesco as a Group Maintenance Manager. By developing his skills he made the transition to lead in a client facing role. Moving from Head of Contracts to Contracts Director he is involved in the development of our people and supports the business through the implementation of change where he constantly reviews how things can be done smarter and more effective. He is also continually driving for high standards throughout our business where there are key focal points and objectives.
Stacey Buckley
Operations Manager
Stacey has been with us since February 2018 where she joined as a Contract Support Administrator working with our supply chain. After just over a year in the role we identified Stacey’s talent and began the development process for her next move which is now her current position as Operations Manager. Prior to Stacey joining us she was working as a QS managing projects and people around the north. Stacey is an integral part of our structure and has the accountability for our field engineers and administrators. A very busy role to say the least but Stacey’s commitment and dedication is key to the success of our self-delivery.
Jason Yeomans
Project Manager
Jason was the first man in a van back in February 2013 where his support to build this business will never go un-recognised. With over 30 years of experience in the building trade and owning his own business for many years there isn’t much he doesn’t know. Jason is currently a Project Manger working with some of our key clients delivering a multitude of projects. He has proven himself invaluable and will continue to be a key player as we grow and further develop.
Pete Dearden
Project Manager
Pete joined the company in 2013 bring a vast amount of all-round experience across different disciplines. He served a 3 year apprenticeship in wheelwrighting and carpentry and to follow this he moved onto machine engineering where he gained the relevant electrical and mechanical engineering qualifications. Pete has over 30 years of experience and holds the title of NICEIC QS. Working currently as a Project Manager Pete is a valued expert in his field where his attention to detail is faultless, he always aims to deliver the highest standards on-time, every time.
James Hart
Regional Contracts Manager
James joined us in February 2021 as our Regional Contracts Manager based in Essex, bringing with him over 20 Years of Industry experience and Account Management. Having hit the ground running he has become an integral part of the team with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He has become a driving force within the small works arm of the business ensuring consistent quality and standards are delivered. He is responsible for some Key Accounts and with a strong attention to detail and a drive for continual improvement to date this has proved a successful combination for our clients. James believes that challenges make life interesting but overcoming those challenges make life meaningful which he lives through by taking ownership and ensuring the delivery of everything he is associated with.
Mandeep Sahota
Contracts Manager
Mandeep joined our business in November 2019 as part of the small works estimating team. He came with over 20 years experience within the building industry. As a qualified carpenter and joiner to then a self-employed multi trader Mandeep has proven his worth through his knowledge sharing and commitment. Mandeep has gone from strength to strength currently holding the position of Contracts Manager. He is further developing his skills with his positive attitude by being more on the front line getting involved and supporting on some our key accounts.
Ian Rhodes
Estimator
Ian joined us in October 2020 following a successful career spanning 25 years which started at Garside and Laycock where he then moved across to Spie and Trios. Ian has a lot of experience working within large corporate businesses, this shows as he operates with professionalism and has a very methodical approach. Most of Ian’s work is done on our largest account where he aims to consistently deliver to the required standards. He collaborates with his piers has proven to be a highly valued member of the estimating division.
